IMPRES Industrial Noise-Canceling Submersible Speaker Microphone – Intrinsically Safe

The Motorola PMMN4046AL is a rugged IMPRES remote speaker microphone designed for clear communication in extremely noisy, wet and demanding workplaces. Its large housing and prominent push-to-talk button are easy to operate while wearing gloves, allowing users to communicate without removing the radio from a belt or carrying case.

Motorola Industrial Noise Cancellation uses a dual-microphone design to isolate the user’s voice and suppress disruptive background noise from machinery, equipment and sirens. IMPRES audio further improves voice intelligibility, while Windporting technology reduces wind noise and helps prevent water from obstructing the microphone.

Integrated volume controls allow incoming audio to be adjusted directly from the microphone. An emergency button and one programmable button provide convenient access to critical radio functions without requiring the user to reach for the radio. This submersible model does not include an earpiece jack.

The PMMN4046AL is IP57 rated for protection against dust and temporary water immersion. The PMMN4046 product family has been supplied under legacy FM and later TIA-4950/UL intrinsic-safety approvals. The microphone’s approval label and the complete Motorola radio, battery and accessory combination must be verified for hazardous-location use.
