IMPRES technology allows a compatible Motorola radio to recognize the microphone and optimize transmit and receive audio. Motorola Windporting technology helps reduce wind interference and prevents water from obstructing the microphone opening during outdoor use.

The PMMN4099 includes a volume control, orange emergency button and one programmable button, placing frequently used radio functions within easy reach. A non-threaded 3.5 mm audio jack supports compatible receive-only earpieces for discreet communications.

Its IP68-rated housing is completely dust-tight and designed to withstand extended water immersion under Motorola’s specified testing conditions. The microphone is also TIA-4950/UL approved for use with properly configured Motorola MOTOTRBO intrinsically safe radio systems.
