IMPRES Submersible Public Safety Microphone with 18-Inch Cable – FM Approved

The Motorola PMMN4049B is a large IMPRES public safety microphone designed for dependable communication in demanding environments. Its 18-inch straight cable provides a compact connection between the microphone and radio, making it well suited for shoulder-mounted use by public safety and industrial personnel.

IMPRES audio technology helps optimize audio performance and improve voice intelligibility, while Windporting technology reduces disruptive wind noise and helps prevent water from obstructing the microphone. Integrated volume controls and an orange emergency button provide convenient access to important radio functions.

Unlike a standard remote speaker microphone, the PMMN4049B accepts a separately purchased UHF or VHF antenna. Relocating the antenna from the radio to the shoulder-mounted microphone can improve reception when the radio is worn at the waist or underneath protective clothing.

The microphone is IP57 rated for protection against dust and temporary water immersion. It also carries legacy Factory Mutual intrinsic-safety approval for compatible hazardous-location configurations. Approval applies only when used with a complete FM-approved Motorola radio, battery, antenna and accessory combination.
