IMPRES Submersible Public Safety Microphone with 30-Inch Cable – FM Approved

The Motorola PMMN4047B is a large IMPRES public safety microphone designed for dependable communication in demanding environments. Its 30-inch straight cable provides additional routing flexibility, making it ideal for shoulder mounting when the radio is worn at the waist, beneath protective clothing or inside a carrying case.

IMPRES audio technology helps optimize audio performance and improve voice intelligibility, while Windporting technology reduces disruptive wind noise and helps prevent water from obstructing the microphone. Integrated volume controls, an emergency button and a programmable button provide convenient access to important radio functions.

Unlike a standard remote speaker microphone, the PMMN4047B accepts a separately purchased UHF or VHF antenna. Relocating the antenna from the radio to the shoulder-mounted microphone can improve reception and coverage, particularly when the radio is positioned underneath clothing or protective equipment.

The microphone is IP57 rated for protection against dust and temporary water immersion. It also carries legacy Factory Mutual intrinsic-safety approval for compatible hazardous-location configurations. Approval applies only when used with a complete FM-approved Motorola radio, battery, antenna and accessory combination.
