Motorola Windporting technology helps reduce wind interference and the whining sounds created when air passes over the microphone. The design also helps prevent water from obstructing the microphone opening, supporting clearer transmitted audio during severe weather.

The PMMN4075A carries an IP57 rating and is tested to withstand temporary immersion in up to one meter of water for approximately 30 minutes. Its rugged coiled cable and compact microphone head make it suitable for active professional use.

This streamlined model does not include an emergency button, volume control, programmable buttons or a secondary earpiece jack. It is TIA-4950/UL approved when used as part of a properly configured Motorola intrinsically safe radio system.
