Motorola Windporting technology significantly reduces background noise caused by wind and severe weather. The same design helps prevent water from obstructing the microphone port and distorting transmitted audio, making it a dependable choice for outdoor workers.

A built-in 3.5mm audio jack supports compatible receive-only earpieces for private incoming communications. The PMMN4024AL provides straightforward push-to-talk operation without IMPRES audio, volume controls, an emergency button or programmable buttons.

The PMMN4024AL carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashing water. The PMMN4024 family has been offered under legacy FM and later TIA-4950/UL intrinsic-safety approvals, so the microphone label and complete Motorola radio, battery, earpiece and accessory configuration must be verified for hazardous-location use.
