Its small housing clips comfortably to a shoulder, lapel or uniform and provides convenient push-to-talk operation without requiring users to remove their radio from its carrying position.

Motorola Windporting technology helps reduce the whining and howling sounds created when wind passes over the microphone. The design also helps prevent water from obstructing the microphone opening, supporting clearer transmissions during outdoor work and difficult weather.

A standard, non-threaded 3.5 mm audio jack supports compatible receive-only earpieces for private radio monitoring. This streamlined microphone does not include an emergency button, volume control or programmable function buttons.

The PMMN4076A carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashing water. It is also TIA-4950/UL approved when used as part of a properly configured Motorola intrinsically safe radio system.
